Czech Tourism has strengthened its engagement with the Indian travel market by expanding promotional activities across North India, with a strong focus on emerging Tier II cities. The initiative aims to tap into growing outbound travel demand beyond metro regions and position Czechia as a diverse European destination.
As part of its 2026 strategy, Czech Tourism organised a dedicated trade workshop in Chandigarh, bringing together more than 30 travel agents to enhance destination awareness and build stronger industry partnerships. The tourism board highlighted experiences beyond Prague, promoting Czechia’s heritage, gastronomy, wine regions, and cultural offerings.
The outreach also included sales engagements in cities such as Amritsar and Jalandhar, reflecting a shift toward regional travel markets driven by rising disposable incomes and increasing international travel aspirations.
Officials emphasised the growing opportunities in segments such as MICE tourism, destination weddings, film tourism, and experiential travel. With Indian outbound travel expanding rapidly, Czech Tourism aims to position Czechia as a multi-region European destination tailored to evolving traveller preferences from North India.
