The Korea Tourism Organization hosted a successful roadshow in Delhi on 6 February 2025, showcasing key initiatives for 2025, including the Korea Premium Travel Consultant program and MICE support schemes. The event highlighted a 44 per cent surge in Indian visitors to South Korea, with the target set to welcome 250,000 Indian travellers in 2025 amidst strong trade partnerships and industry support.
The Korean Tourism Organization (KTO), in collaboration with the Travel Agents Associations of India, hosted a successful Korea Tourism Roadshow in Delhi on 6 February 2025, engaging key travel trade partners and industry leaders. The event comes as Indian arrivals to South Korea saw a remarkable 44 per cent increase in 2024, reaching 176,668 visitors, a trend KTO aims to continue in 2025.
During the roadshow, KTO introduced several initiatives to enhance travel to South Korea, such as the Korean Premium Travel Consultant program, K Incentive Scheme 3.0, and MICE support programmes.
These efforts aim to facilitate smoother outbound travel and enhance India's access to South Korea, which aligns with the country's vision of increasing Indian arrivals to 250,000 by 2025.
Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director of India and SAARC Countries for KTO expressed, "India is a key market, and we are thrilled by the growth in arrivals. Our target for 2025 is to invite 18.5 million global visitors, including 250,000 from india. Through initiatives like KPTC, we aim to empower travel agents with the right tools to offer bespoke travel experiences."
Rajan Sehgal, Chairman of the Public Relations Council TAAI, added, "The roadshow provided valuable insights and incentives for the travel trade. We continue to support KTO in bringing South Korea to the forefront of India's travel market."
The KPTC programme for travel agents specialising in premium travel to Korea offers agents exclusive rewards and training to curate luxury experiences. Meanwhile, KTO's MICE support strengthens South Korea's appeal to corporate groups.
