Riding on over 20 per cent year-on-year growth in Indian visitor arrivals, Taiwan Tourism Administration has announced its 2026 India market activation with a Mega Roadshow in Delhi and participation at OTM 2026 in Mumbai. The twin initiatives reinforce TTA’s long-term commitment to the Indian market and its destination brand, Taiwan-Waves of Wonder.
Building on two consecutive years of strong double-digit growth from India, the Taiwan Tourism Administration is set to launch its 2026 India market engagement programme with two high-impact trade initiatives: the Taiwan Mega Roadshow in Delhi and participation at OTM 2026, India’s largest outbound travel trade exhibition to be held from 5-7 February 2026 at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre. These initiatives mark a phase in Taiwan’s strategic new outreach to the Indian outbound travel sector, aligned with its global campaign, “Taiwan Waves of Wonder.” Through immersive trade engagement, interactive experiences and destination showcases, TTA aims to position Taiwan as a preferred leisure, luxury and MICE destination for Indian travellers.
The Delhi roadshow, hosted ahead of OTM, will engage more than 125 leading travel trade buyers from the Delhi NCR region, India’s largest outbound gateway. The event will feature dynamic destination experiences, including a Selfies Booth, an AI Photo Booth, DIY Digital Jigsaw Puzzle activities, and live performances by Taiwanese artists. Guests will also enjoy signature Taiwanese delicacies such as bubble tea, fried chicken and Kavalan whiskey.
Both the Delhi and Mumbai events will feature participation from over 25 Taiwanese tourism stakeholders, including Shih Chin Travel, Relax Go Taiwan, Welcome Wonder Edision Tours, Apple Tour Top International Travel Services, Tour One, and the Taiwan Visitors Association, alongside TTA officials.
At OTM 2026 in Mumbai, the Taiwan Pavilion will showcase a wave-inspired design, reflecting the “Waves of Wonder” theme and highlighting Taiwan’s year-round travel experiences, advanced MICE infrastructure and premium leisure offerings. Cultural performances and hands-on activities will further immerse visitors in Taiwan’s creative and cultural appeal.
Commenting on the market, Paul Shih, Director, Singapore Office, Taiwan Tourism Administration, said: “India continues to be one of our most promising and strategically important tourism source markets. Over the last two years, our focused, market-specific efforts have resulted in sustained 20 per cent-plus growth from India. With India’s outbound travels set for long-term expansion, we remain deeply committed to investing in partnerships, destination awareness, and product innovation. Our 2026 initiatives affirm our confidence in India and our intent to position Taiwan as a preferred destination for leisure, luxury and MICE travel.”
In 2025, Taiwan recorded 46134 visitor arrivals from India, reflecting a 20.9 per cent year-on-year increase. Since its market re-entry in 2024, TTA has adopted a 360-degree India engagement strategy spanning trade and media familiarisation trips, destination seminars, MICE campaigns, influencer collaboration, and participation in leading trade shows such as SATTE and OTM.
As Taiwan’s visibility continues to rise among Indian tarvellers the 2026 roadmap underscores TTA’s goal of driving sustainable partnership-led growth and further strengthening Taiwan’s positioning as one of Asia’s most dynamic and culturally rich destinations.
