Tourism Malaysia Promotes Promotional Efforts In Vietnam

The networking event sought to update local travel agents and media on new developments in Malaysian tourism.

The Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in Vietnam organised a Director Malaysia seminar and networking luncheon in Da Nang earlier this month to update local travel agents and media on the latest developments in the Malaysian tourism industry. The program also served to showcase the country's diverse attractions and offerings. Nor Hayatu Zainuddin, Tourism Malaysia's director in Vietnam, stated: "Vietnam is an important source of market for Malaysia. Robust promotional initiatives are essential for attracting more Vietnamese tourists, especially with the new direct flight from Da Nang to Kuala Lumpur by Malaysia Airlines.

We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with local travel agents in Danang and greatly appreciate their continuous support in promoting Malaysia."

Firms and agencies that joined the event were Tourism Melaka, the Malaysia Homestay Entrepreneurs Association, Education Malaysia Sepang International Circuit GL Play by Gamuda Land, Monkeys Canpoy Theme Park, and seven representatives from esteemed travel agents, hotels and resorts in Malaysia. Participants had the chance to network with Malaysian travel partners and gain valuable insights into popular destinations, including exciting theme parks, the Malaysia MotoGP and the Malaysia My Second Home Program, which promises unforgettable experiences for all travellers. To maximise the impact of this promotional effort, Tourism Malaysia likewise announced its collaboration with the Malaysia Homestay Entrepreneurs Association and Education Malaysia to highlight Malaysia's educational and cultural offerings. This initiative targets explicitly Vietnamese students, offering them experiential learning and cultural exchange opportunities. The seminar also celebrated Malaysia Airlines' upcoming daily direct flights from Da Nang to Kuala Lumpur that take off on 24 September 2024. This direct flight is expected to enhance connectivity, promote tourism and foster business opportunities between Vietnam and Malaysia.
