Fairfest Media, the organiser behind Asia’s flagship travel show OTM, has acquired WTE Miami — one of the fastest-growing travel trade shows in the United States.
The acquisition marks a major milestone in Fairfest’s global expansion strategy by extending its reach into the Americas and positioning it as a global leader in travel-trade events.
WTE Miami, which began in 2022 and is hosted annually at the Miami Beach Convention Center, has rapidly emerged as a key platform for the travel and tourism industry.
The 2025 edition of WTE Miami featured over 300 exhibitors and drew about 3,500 travel-industry professionals, including hundreds of hosted buyers.
Under the new ownership, Fairfest plans to double the size of WTE Miami for 2026 — both in terms of exhibitors and attendees — aiming to offer an expanded B2B platform with greater media visibility and stronger global participation. The next edition is scheduled for October 27–28, 2026 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
According to Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media, WTE Miami is “rightly positioned as a global travel-tradeshow serving the US as the world’s largest travel market,” and the company sees “100% growth potential in 2026.”
Javier P. Palencia, Director of WTE Miami, added that “joining forces under the Fairfest umbrella will allow WTE Miami to reach new heights,” leveraging Fairfest’s global network and expertise.
With this acquisition, Fairfest Media bolsters its already extensive global network — built over three decades and involving more than 15,000 travel brands and 100,000 professionals from over 120 countries — now spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
