Moscow Launches Let's Play Moscow Interactive Routes

Published on : Fri, Sep 26, 2025

Moscow Launches Let's Play Moscow Interactive Routes.
Moscow has introduced Let's Play Moscow, an interactive family-friendly tourism initiative tested by 2000 participants from 18 countries during the IV Children's International Cultural Forum. With themed routes, tasks and souvenirs, the project engages children as active explorers of the city. Available in English and Chinese, it supports Moscow's positioning as a child-friendly megapolis for international tourism.

The capital of Russia has unveiled Let's Play Moscow, an interactive tourism project designed to engage young visitors and their families in exploring the city through specially curated routes. The initiative was recently tested by around 2000 participants from 18 countries during the IV Children's International Cultural Forum. Let's Play Moscow transforms children into the main characters of their journey, inviting them to complete a mission while discovering Moscow's attractions. Using themed maps decorated with cartoon characters, families follow interactive routes that combine sightseeing with tasks, encouraging analysis, reasoning, and teamwork. Maps are available at tourist information centres, participating hotels, and other locations across the city.

For international tourists, the programme is available in English and Chinese. Two themed routes are currently open: ‘Secrets of the Green Planet’, beginning at Christ the Saviour Cathedral and ending in Zaryadye park, which blends heritage with lessons on sustainable city life and ‘To the Luanr Seas’, at VDNH, where children explore space-themed exhibits at the Atom Museum and the Cosmonautics and Aviation centre while building their own rockets. Along the way, young travellers collect stickers, complete challenges, and scan QR codes for additional information. Families completing the missions can claim souvenirs at tourist information centres. Participation is free of charge, except for any applicable museum entrance fees, while the Secrets of the Green Planet route is entirely free of charge.

The project complements Moscow’s established family-friendly attractions. Such as the Central Children's Store on Lubyanka, the Moscow Zoo, and the Dream Island amusement park. By offering the capital's reputation as an inviting destination for tourists with their children.
