Singapore Airlines (SIA) has officially opened a newly redesigned SilverKris Lounge for First-Class travellers at Singapore Changi Airport — located in Terminal 2 (T2). The 1,050-square-metre lounge replaces the older facility and is part of a larger S$45 million upgrade across the terminal’s premium lounges.
The expanded lounge, now 11% larger than before, can accommodate around 130 guests at a time. It welcomes SIA Suites and First Class passengers, Solitaire PPS Club members, and First Class travellers flying on Star Alliance partner airlines.
Inside, the lounge has been reimagined as a refined, light-filled space offering a mix of dining, relaxation, work and wellness zones. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light and views of the runway, while high ceilings and modern design enhance comfort and ambience.
At the heart of the lounge is a new “Signature Bar,” offering freshly made coffee in the mornings and curated cocktails, wines and premium beverages in the evenings. For diners, live cooking stations serve freshly prepared meals alongside buffet and self-serve options.
For travellers needing rest or privacy, the lounge offers semi-private reclining pods, soundproof booths for phone calls, a video-conference capable meeting room, and shower suites stocked with premium amenities. Families can also use a children’s playroom and nursing room.
Welcome touches at the entrance include a signature “Batik Wall” art installation — a floor-to-ceiling feature with 97 laser-cut plexiglass flowers — a curated floral scent, and Singapore Airlines’ own ambient “sound signature,” combining visuals, scent and sound for a full sensory welcome.
According to SIA officials, the new lounge is a reflection of their dedication to providing all First-Class passengers, including those leaving from Terminal 2, with flagship-level comfort and hospitality. The initial stage of a larger plan is the remodeling; by 2027, SIA hopes to have all SilverKris lounges in T2 upgraded.
With this opening, Changi Airport's Terminal 2 now provides premium travelers with a luxurious, convenient, and sophisticated pre-flight experience that meets the airline's international standards.
