Alliance Air has launched a new airfare initiative called “Fares Se Fursat”, under which passengers on selected routes will be charged a single, fixed fare regardless of when they book—even on the day of departure.
The scheme is being run on a pilot basis from October 13 to December 31, 2025, during which the carrier and regulators will assess its operational feasibility and gauge passenger response. Under the model, ticket prices will not fluctuate with demand, time of booking, or route variations—offering fare transparency and stability to flyers.
The initiative aligns with broader goals of making aviation more accessible and affordable—especially for first-time flyers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities—and complements the government’s regional connectivity push. With unpredictable airfare spikes often deterring last-minute bookings, the carrier expects this move to encourage more travellers to fly, without being penalised for booking late.
The fixed-price program, which was mostly created for short- and medium-haul routes, gives travelers financial predictability and attempts to allay worries about fare increases during periods of high travel demand. In the future, the carrier will evaluate scalability and performance before thinking about expanding its rollout beyond a few chosen routes.
