Riyadh Expands Global Air Network- Six New Routes, Europe, Middle East

Saudi Arabia is taking another significant step toward strengthening its aviation sector as Riyadh introduces six new air routes connecting the capital with major destinations in Europe and the Middle East. The expansion is designed to improve international connectivity, support rising travel demand, and reinforce Riyadh's position as a growing global aviation hub.

The newly announced destinations include London, Madrid, Manchester, Dubai, Cairo, and Jeddah. The routes will be rolled out progressively between June and July 2026, providing travelers with additional options for both business and leisure journeys.

The London service will commence first, followed by flights to Jeddah, Dubai, and Cairo later in June. Services to Madrid and Manchester are scheduled to begin in July, further expanding Riyadh's reach into key European markets.

The route expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader tourism and economic diversification strategy under Vision 2030. By enhancing international air connectivity, the Kingdom aims to attract more global visitors, encourage investment, and strengthen trade links while positioning Riyadh as a leading gateway between Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Growing passenger demand has played a key role in accelerating the launch of several services. Aviation officials believe the additional routes will support increasing travel volumes and provide greater convenience for passengers flying to and from the Saudi capital.

The expansion also marks another milestone in Riyadh's ambition to become one of the world's leading aviation hubs. As Saudi Arabia continues investing in airport infrastructure, airline networks, and tourism initiatives, enhanced global connectivity is expected to contribute significantly to the Kingdom's long-term economic growth and international tourism goals.
