Saudi Tourism has successfully concluded a three-city trade roadshow across India, underscoring its commitment to the market as a key driver of inbound tourism. The series, held from September 15 to 19, 2025, brought together industry leaders in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, reinforcing Saudi Arabia's position as an emerging destination for leisure group-inclusive MICE and wedding travel.
The initiative comes at a strategic moment, as Saudi Arabia accelerates its efforts to diversify the visitor economy in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. India's region is central to these efforts, with strong growth potential as the world's fastest-growing large economy, driven by an expanding middle class, improving air connectivity, and a large scale of young travellers seeking international experiences.
Over 14 Saudi suppliers, including airlines, destination management companies and destination marketing organisations, participated in the roadshow showcasing the Kingdom's range of attractions. These included cultural heritage sites, UNESCO-listed landmarks, natural landscapes and a vibrant calendar of sports, entertainment and cultural events.
The roadshow also served as the launch platform for Saudi Arabia's new Winter Season offerings, designed to expand the country's appeal across leisure, GIT and MICE segments. In parallel, Saudi Tourism is promoting its latest global campaign, the Unreal Calendar, featuring football star Cristiano Ronaldo. The campaign, with the tagline "I Came for Football, I stayed for More," highlights Saudi Arabia's extended season of sports, film, fashion, and cultural activities targeting key markets, including India.
A spokesperson from Saudi Tourism said the event underlined the relevance of building closer collaboration with India's travel trade partners: "India is one of our priority markets, and this roadshow has provided an invaluable platform to showcase Saudi Arabia's evolving tourism landscape. We aim to strengthen partnerships, co-create opportunities, and position Saudi Arabia as a premier choice for Indian travellers seeking authentic and world-class experiences."
By engaging with India's travel trade through curated roadshow exhibitions and joint initiatives, Saudi Tourism seeks to change India into one of its strongest international source markets. This effort aligns with the Kingdom's broader strategy of growing tourism as a central pillar of economic diversification and cultural exchange under Vision 2030.
