The Directorate General announced the passport in a statement posted on X. The extension is effective under the Gregorian calendar from Saturday, 26 July 2025. This applies to all types of time-determined visas.
What does the extension mean?
The extension grants visitors with expired visas more time to leave Saudi Arabia without facing legal consequences, provided they settle all applicable fines and fees according to existing regulations. Jawazat first introduced this initiative in June 2025 in line with the beginning of the Hijri New Year.

To benefit from the grace period, eligible visitors must-

- Present a formal request through the service of Taadism on the interior's Absher platform.
- This process should be completed in the specified window to ensure a match.
