The Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance has launched the global campaign Love Sri Lanka Always to promote the island as a year-round travel destination across key international markets, including India. The initiative highlights seasonal experiences, strong air connectivity, and diverse tourism offerings to address demand seasonality while encouraging travellers to explore Sri Lanka beyond traditional peak travel periods.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance has launched a new global campaign titled “Love Sri Lanka Always” aimed at positioning the island nation as a year-round destination across select international markets, with India continuing to be a key source market. The campaign seeks to reshape perceptions of travel to Sri Lanka by highlighting the destination’s diverse experiences across different seasons. With short flight times and strong air connectivity from India, Sri Lanka offers a range of tourism experiences, including wildlife, tea country, landscapes, beaches and cultural heritage, making it an accessible destination for Indian travellers seeking both short breaks and longer explorations.

At the centre of the campaign is an effort to address the long-standing challenge of demand-driven seasonality in tourism. By focusing on time-specific cultural events, wildlife species, and natural phenomena, the initiative encourages travellers to explore Sri Lanka beyond traditional peak travel windows. Throughout the year, the island offers distinct seasonal experiences ranging from cultural festivals and traditions to migratory gatherings and changing monsoon landscapes. By highlighting these moments, the campaign aims to distribute tourism demand more evenly throughout the year, promote a lesser-known experience, and support tourism communities across the country.

The initiative also comes at a time when Sri Lanka is witnessing renewed momentum as a global travel destination. The campaign highlights the readiness of destination hotels and local communities to welcome visitors as tourism activity continues to stabilise across markets. Tourism operators across the country are fully active, with destinations welcoming visitors, and local communities once again sharing the culture, hospitality, and natural beauty associated with the Sri Lankan travel experience. Sri Lanka is positioning itself as a dependable destination for travellers seeking new experiences despite the uncertainties affecting global travel patterns.

The campaigns will feature cinematic films, photography and digital storytelling that showcase seasonal experiences unique to varied times of the year. These include wildlife spectacles such as the Minneriya elephant gathering, cultural celebrations such as Vesak lantern festivals, and major heritage events including the Kandy Esala Perahera.

“Love Sri Lanka Always” will be delivered through a digital-first global rollout that combines visual storytelling, performance marketing, and media partnerships to reach travellers during the inspiration and trip-planning stages. The initiative also strengthens the Love Sri Lanka platform as a central gateway for destination discovery and travel planning for international visitors.
