Cochin International Airport To Open A Five-star Hotel On December 28

Cochin International Airport will soon open the Taj Cochin International Airport hotel, a five-star property with 111 rooms designed to enhance luxury and convenience for travellers. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, this development is part of Cial's vision to post-south India's aviation sector and create 30,000 jobs by integrating top-notch hospitality and infrastructure.

Cochin International Airport is set to open its five-star hotel to become a central travel hub in South india. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the hotel at 11 am on December 28. Taj Cochin International Airport, a landmark five-star hotel, is set to redefine luxury, convenience, and accessibility for travellers, said a Cial official. It will have 111 premium rooms and suites, just 500 m from the airport.

The property built by Cial has been entrusted to Indian Hotels Company under the iconic Taj brand through a global tender process, he said. The hotel underscores Cial's pioneering efforts to change South India's aviation sector. As the 4th busiest airport in india for international passenger traffic, Cial halves over 10 million passengers annually and continues to play a vital role in regional economic growth. World-class restaurants, banquet and conference facilities with ballrooms, pre-function areas, outdoor venues, and a world-class wellness circle featuring a swimming pool and gymnasium are some of the facilities the hotel provides," the official included.

Cial managing director S Suhas said, "The Taj Cochin International Airport is yet another step forward in our vision to integrate world-class infrastructure and hospitality under one roof. With IHCL's Taj brand on board, we are elevating Kerala's prominence as a global destination for travellers while demonstrating our commitment to innovation and excellence."

Cial's master plan is poised to create 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities over the next three years, driving the state's socio-economic growth. This consists of expanding the international terminal development of cutting-edge commercial complexes, innovative green hydrogen initiatives, and an inclusive golf tourism venture.
