Saudi announces the addition of over 10 new destinations to its global network in 2025. The expansion to meet growing international travel demand included key cities in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
With a 16% increase in international guests last year, Saudi continues to enhance connectivity and provide exceptional travel experiences through its modern fleet and strategic growth plans.
Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier has unveiled plans to expand its global flight network by adding more than ten new destinations by 2025. The expansion comes in response to a 16% increase in international guest numbers last year, reflecting the airline's ongoing commitment to enhancing global connectivity and catering to rising international travel demand.
The newly introduced destinations include major cities across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. These include Vienna in Austria, Venice in Italy, Larnaca in Cyprus, Athens and Heraklion in Greece, Nice in France, Malaga in Spain, Bali in Indonesia, Antalya in Turkey, El Alamein in Egypt, and Salalah in Oman. This expansion complements Saudi Arabia's existing network, which spans over 100 destinations across four continents.
Ibrahim Al Omar, Director General of Saudi Group, stated: "Following last year's operational success, we have implemented a strategic plan for 2025 to ensure continued excellence and meet constant international travel demand. Our destination selection is based on holistic feasibility studies and guest preferences. We are committed to providing our international guests exceptional travel experiences that combine comfort, efficiency and authentic Saudi hospitality."
Saudi Arabia's modern fleet of 147 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, which are recognised for their safety and efficiency, supports the expansion.
Additionally, the airline's commitment to giving high standards of onboard service, from comfortable seating to advanced flight entertainment systems, aligns with its goal of enhancing the passengers' overall experience.
The planned delivery of 118 new aircraft in the coming years will further strengthen Saudi Arabia's operational capacity. With daily operations exceeding 530 flights, Saudi Arabia continues to grow its global presence, strengthening the connection between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world.
