The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority has partnered with the Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) to strengthen the state’s position as a leading culinary tourism destination. The collaboration aims to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s rich food heritage and promote authentic Telugu cuisine across national and international platforms.
Under the agreement, both organisations will jointly organise food festivals, culinary events, and promotional campaigns to attract domestic and international travellers interested in gastronomic experiences. The initiative also focuses on creating immersive travel experiences by combining culture, cuisine, and regional traditions.
A key aspect of the partnership includes skill development programmes and professional training to enhance employment opportunities for youth in the hospitality and culinary sectors. Leveraging ICI’s expertise as an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Tourism, the collaboration seeks to build a strong ecosystem for culinary innovation and excellence.
The move aligns with the state government’s broader tourism strategy to diversify offerings beyond traditional sightseeing, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for experiential and food-focused travel.
