Sayaji Hotels Adds 7 Properties, Expands Portfolio By 440 Rooms Across India

The hospitality group’s expansion between April and August 2026 spans Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Sikkim, focusing on business, leisure, pilgrimage, and experiential travel markets.

Sayaji Hotels Ltd has added seven properties to its portfolio between April and August 2026, expanding its inventory by 440 rooms. The additions also bring 10 banquet spaces, nine restaurants and six outdoor event venues into the group’s hospitality network.

The expansion across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Sikkim is part of the company’s multi-brand strategy to strengthen its presence in diverse domestic travel markets. Its portfolio includes Enrise by Sayaji, Effotel by Sayaji, The Forest Chapter by Sayaji, and Amber, a Sayaji unit, catering to different traveller segments and destination requirements.

The group’s growth comes amid rising domestic travel demand in India. According to the Ministry of Tourism, the country recorded 2,947 million domestic tourist visits in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 17.49%. The trend is creating opportunities for hospitality operators across regional business centres, pilgrimage destinations, leisure markets and emerging tourism hubs.

Sayaji Hotels has expanded its geographical footprint through successive property additions. Its 2025 rollout covered Calangute, Navi Mumbai, Neemuch, Vidisha, Khed Shivapur, Panaji, Madhai, Chandrapur and Kalaburagi. In 2026, the group added or expanded its presence in Bareilly, Latur, Bhopal, Sangli, Sasan Gir, Vadodara, Junagadh, Amravati, Gangtok and Somnath.

Sumera Dhanaji, Corporate Director of Business Development at Sayaji Hotels Ltd, said the company would focus on strengthening its brands and broadening its hospitality offerings over the next five years.

The group plans to deepen guest engagement by expanding its focus on food and beverage, banqueting, events and experiential hospitality. It also aims to improve brand recognition, build customer loyalty and develop a more integrated hospitality proposition that responds to changing traveller preferences.

From a development perspective, Sayaji Group will prioritise projects with sound commercial potential rather than pursue expansion solely to increase its property count.

Pawandeep Mago, Director of Development at Sayaji Group, said the group would assess each prospective project on factors including market demand, location dynamics, land availability, project economics, and the operating model required to ensure viability.

Investment requirements, development timelines and expected returns will remain central to the group’s expansion decisions as it seeks to build a commercially sustainable portfolio.

The company has also identified two upcoming Enrise by Sayaji properties in Gandhidham and Kufri. These developments are expected to further strengthen its presence in business and leisure destinations.

With its multi-brand approach and selective development strategy, Sayaji Hotels aims to expand its reach across India while adapting its offerings to the needs of different traveller segments and regional markets.
