Disneyland Paris has unveiled plans for a major expansion and reimagining of its second theme park, which will be officially renamed Disney Adventure World when it opens on March 29, 2026. The transformation marks a new era of themed entertainment at the resort and includes several new lands, attractions and experiences designed to draw visitors from around the world.
At the centre of the expansion is the new World of Frozen area, inspired by Disney’s hit animated film Frozen. This immersive land will bring to life the kingdom of Arendelle, featuring a Frozen Ever After boat ride, character encounters with Anna and Elsa, themed dining, shops and special daytime shows set to music from the films.
In addition to Frozen, the park’s transformation includes:
- A new Adventure Way — a scenic main avenue linking themed lands with entertainment, dining and gardens.
- Several new attractions such as Raiponce: Tangled Spin, inspired by Tangled, where guests ride in lantern‑lit gondolas.
- Expanded dining and food experiences, including more restaurants and themed spaces to enhance guest visits.
- Plans for future themed areas, including a land based on The Lion King, currently under construction and expected to open after 2026.
Alongside the new lands, Disney Adventure World will host an impressive nighttime show called Disney Cascade of Lights, featuring drones, fountains and special effects over Adventure Bay to entertain guests each evening.
Disney officials say the expansion nearly doubles the size of the second park, attracting families, Disney fans and tourists from Europe and beyond. Disneyland Paris — already one of Europe’s top tourist destinations — expects the new experiences to boost attendance and strengthen its appeal as a must‑visit travel attraction.
The transformation is part of a long‑term, multi‑billion‑euro investment strategy for the resort, underlining Disney’s commitment to innovation and immersive storytelling.
