Emirates is strengthening its presence in the Indian aviation market by introducing its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft on the Delhi–Dubai route from October 25, 2026, while expanding its award-winning Premium Economy cabin to six Indian destinations.
With this move, Delhi becomes the third Indian city, after Mumbai and Bengaluru, to receive scheduled Emirates A380 services. The deployment reflects the airline's continued investment in the India-UAE travel corridor, catering to growing demand from leisure, business, and VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) travelers.
Premium Economy Expands Across India
Beginning in October, Emirates' Premium Economy product will be available on flights serving Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Kolkata. The expansion will be supported through a mix of retrofitted Airbus A380s, Airbus A350s, and four-class Boeing 777 aircraft, offering passengers greater flexibility and an enhanced onboard experience.
Kolkata to Welcome Airbus A350
As part of the network upgrade, Emirates will also deploy its next-generation Airbus A350 on the Kolkata–Dubai route from October 25. The aircraft will feature the airline's signature Premium Economy cabin, allowing travelers on all weekly Kolkata-Dubai services to enjoy upgraded seating and enhanced comfort.
Enhanced Cabin Experience
The airline's Premium Economy cabin is designed to bridge the gap between Economy and Business Class, offering wider seats, increased legroom, deeper recline, premium dining served on fine chinaware, and upgraded amenities. Combined with Emirates' renowned in-flight entertainment and hospitality, the product aims to deliver a more comfortable long-haul travel experience.
Strengthening the India-UAE Air Corridor
According to Emirates, the latest expansion highlights its long-term commitment to the Indian market. The addition of the A380 on the Delhi route and the wider rollout of Premium Economy underscore the airline's strategy to enhance customer choice while meeting rising demand for premium international travel between India and Dubai.
