SaaS-enabled B2B event marketplace Spalba has expanded into Vietnam after signing two properties—Angsana Lăng Cô and Banyan Tree Lăng Cô—as part of its broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia’s MICE sector.
The company is targeting 100% growth in 2026 and plans to expand its global footprint to more than 80 cities. It is also aiming to build a network of over 100,000 active event spaces by 2027, with Southeast Asia identified as an important growth market.
Vietnam’s growing role as a manufacturing and corporate hub, coupled with rising tourism and international business travel, is strengthening its position as a MICE destination. Ho Chi Minh City has emerged as a significant market for conferences, incentive programmes and corporate events, attracting planners from international markets.
Spalba aims to address the traditionally time-consuming venue discovery and pre-event planning process. According to the company, identifying and finalising a venue can take two to four weeks and often involves calls, site inspections and several rounds of coordination.
Its digital twin technology allows planners and corporate clients to virtually explore venues, evaluate spaces and visualise event layouts before making physical visits. Spalba said the technology can potentially reduce property sales cycles by up to 60%.
The platform also provides event mock-ups and Praloop, its AI-powered project management solution, bringing multiple stages of event planning onto a single digital platform.
Initially, Spalba will manage its Vietnam operations through its Singapore and India hubs. Its teams will conduct on-site 3D shoots at properties, with each digitisation exercise generally taking two to four days.
The company plans to add more premium venues across Vietnam as it expands its market presence and may consider establishing a local operation as the business scales. The Vietnam entry forms part of Spalba’s wider APAC strategy to develop connected digital infrastructure for venues, planners and vendors across Southeast Asia.
