Google Cloud and MakeMyTrip have formed a strategic partnership to improve Myra, their AI-powered travel planner. Making multilingual service, booking, and travel discovery faster, simpler, and more accessible for Indian travelers is the goal.
Under this collaboration, Myra will leverage Google Cloud’s advanced technologies—such as Gemini, Vertex AI, and integrations with Google Maps, Places API, and Search—to offer more personalized and contextualized travel experiences.
The improved Myra will suggest destinations aligned with user “vibes” such as wellness, adventure, or culture, and provide real-time insights about weather, local cuisine, attractions, and commuting options. The platform will also support multimodal interactions—allowing users to communicate via text, voice, images, or video—and include support for regional Indian languages to reach a wider audience.
Rajesh Magow, Co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, said that this partnership will help the company innovate faster, personalize at scale, and simplify travel for millions across India.
Karan Bajwa, President of Asia Pacific at Google Cloud, said that MakeMyTrip has a deep understanding of traveler behavior and preferences. He added that combining these insights with Google’s AI and content capabilities will help create meaningful travel experiences.
This partnership is another step toward a time when AI will play a major role in travel planning, providing tourists with a more individualized and effective means of seeing the world.
