Emirates has introduced a set of new measures aimed at giving passengers greater flexibility when travelling to Dubai. The airline is now offering unlimited free date changes on Dubai-bound flights and significantly reducing refund fees on eligible fares.
Dubai, August 11, 2026: Under the revised policy, passengers travelling to Dubai can change their travel dates as many times as required without paying a date-change fee, regardless of the fare type. Travellers will still need to pay any applicable tax differences and fare differences resulting from the new itinerary.
Refund fees reduced on Dubai flights
Emirates has also lowered refund charges for eligible Dubai-bound fares. For Economy Class, refund fees have been reduced to USD 50 for Saver fares and USD 25 for Flex fares. In Business Class, the refund fee is USD 50 for Special and Saver fares and USD 25 for Flex fares. Existing no-show fees continue to apply.
One free date change on other Emirates routes
The flexibility extends beyond Dubai, although with different conditions. Passengers travelling on other Emirates routes with tickets booked from April 2, 2026 can make one complimentary date change, including connecting flights from Dubai. Changes must be made within the ticket's validity period, with passengers responsible for any applicable taxes or fare differences.
Additional travel protection for passengers
Emirates is also highlighting its broader travel-support measures, including assistance with disrupted journeys and accommodation in certain circumstances. The airline's travel cover includes protection for medical expenses and conflict-related incidents under applicable terms.
The measures are designed to give travellers greater confidence when booking flights amid changing travel conditions, while allowing passengers to adjust their plans with fewer financial penalties.
Emirates Skywards members receive additional benefits
The airline is also offering enhanced benefits to eligible Emirates Skywards members. Until August 31, 2026, tier requirements are reduced by 20%, while members can earn bonus Tier Miles on Emirates and flydubai flights and additional Skywards Miles on eligible Emirates bookings made through the airline's website.
With flexible date changes, lower refund fees, travel support, and loyalty benefits, Emirates is positioning the new measures as a way to give passengers greater flexibility and reassurance when planning travel to Dubai.
