Thomas Cook India Limited has partnered with Mastercard. It will help to enable contactless cross-border payments through Google Pay across its full suite of prepaid forex cards. The move addresses the growing demand among Indian travellers for secure, seamless, and real-time digital solutions overseas with tonestan security and acceptance at over 270 million Mastercard merchant locations worldwide.
Thomas Cook India Limited, a leading omnichannel forex services provider, has partnered with Mastercard to enable contactless cross-border payments on Google Pay across its entire range of prepaid forex cards. The initiative allows Indian travellers to make secure international transactions via their mobile devices across accommodation, transport, dining, shopping and other services without the need to carry a physical card.
The service is available across Thomas Cook’s suite of prepaid forex cards: Borderless Travel, One Currency, Study Buddy and Enterprise FX. Customers can add their cards to Google Pay to access quick tap and pay functionality as well as online payments. The system is supported by Mastercard's extensive network of over 270 million merchant locations worldwide.
The new solution integrates Tokenistan, which replaces sensitive card details with a unique code, providing enhanced security. By removing the need for physical cards, travellers can avoid stress related to card loss, theft, replacement, or the need for emergency cash while abroad.
