Officials said that Abu Dhabi's tourism department has updated its online training site for travel agents. They added two new lessons to help travel professionals around the world learn more about the city and get the tools they need to sell trips there.
The newly added courses focus on the Official Abu Dhabi Pass and Ramadan in Abu Dhabi, and are part of DCT Abu Dhabi’s ongoing effort to strengthen structured training for travel professionals and enhance the quality of visitor experiences in the emirate.
The Abu Dhabi Pass module provides agents with detailed insights into the emirate’s official digital tourism pass, which offers visitors up to 50% savings across more than 70 major attractions, including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, Ferrari World and SeaWorld Yas Island. The course also covers benefits such as complimentary tourist shuttle services, free tourist SIM cards with eSIM options, and exclusive B2B pricing available through a dedicated portal for registered agents.
The Ramadan in Abu Dhabi module aims to help travel professionals understand the cultural and spiritual significance of Ramadan in the UAE, offering guidance on local traditions and visitor experiences. It covers aspects such as Iftar and Suhoor gatherings, visits to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, evening souks and respectful cultural etiquette, enabling agents to plan and recommend immersive, culturally sensitive itineraries.
DCT Abu Dhabi said the enhanced e-learning content reflects its commitment to global trade collaboration and training, ensuring that travel agents are better prepared to promote Abu Dhabi as a year-round destination with rich cultural offerings, significant savings and memorable experiences for visitors.
The Experience Abu Dhabi Experts Platform is an important part of DCT Abu Dhabi’s international outreach, providing destination-focused training in multiple languages to markets including the United Kingdom, India, China, the USA, Australia, France, Italy, Germany and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
