In order to strengthen its operations and business strategy throughout the South Asia, Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA) region, Cathay Pacific has announced new executive appointments. The airline's determination to fortify its position in one of its fastest-growing areas is reflected in the action.
Piyuli Bhattacharjee has been appointed Regional Head of Marketing, SAMEA, where she will lead brand marketing across passenger travel, cargo, and lifestyle business verticals. With more than eight years of experience in aviation, omni-channel retail, and brand management, Bhattacharjee will play a key role in enhancing Cathay’s brand visibility across the region.

He approaches business interaction with a data-driven strategy thanks to his experience in digital commerce and hospitality.
Meanwhile, Vinod Viswanathan has been named Regional Head of Trade Sales for India and Sri Lanka. With over 15 years of experience in aviation and global distribution, he will focus on strengthening Cathay’s relationships with trade partners and boosting sales performance in key South Asian markets.
All three leaders will be based in Mumbai, Cathay Pacific’s regional headquarters. The airline stated that these appointments are part of its broader effort to align marketing, sales, and trade operations while adapting to evolving market trends across the SAMEA region.
