The Ministry of Tourism has announced that it has achieved approximately 24 % of the targets set under the nationwide “Special Campaign 5.0,” which is focused on cleanliness, administrative efficiency, and disposing of pending items.
The campaign scope covers 6,429 targets, including cleanliness drives at 413 sites, review of over 4,700 physical files, and 1,100 e-office files.
To date, the Ministry has completed 1,553 activities under this campaign. These efforts have freed up 14,095 sq ft of office space and generated ₹1,72,991 in revenue from scrap disposal. Progress is tracked in real-time via the SCDPM portal managed by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.
The initiative reflects the Ministry’s broader objective of enhancing governance, promoting sustainability within tourism infrastructure, and aligning with the Swachh Bharat Mission by improving cleanliness in its institutions and field units.
