Dubai International Airport Launches Ticketless E-Wallet Parking System

Published on : Thu, Mar 19, 2026

Dubai International Airport- Ticketless E-Wallet Parking System

Dubai International Airport has announced that it is launching a ticketless e-wallet parking system, which allows motorists to pay their parking fees electronically without the use of paper tickets or payment machines. The new system is being introduced through a partnership between Dubai Airports and Salik, marking a step toward smarter and more seamless airport services.

The system is expected to commence operations from January 22, 2026, and will serve about 7,400 paid parking spaces at Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Cargo Mega Terminal. The new system will allow motorists to enter and exit the parking areas without the need for tickets, with the parking fees being deducted from their e-wallet accounts.

The initiative is part of a 10-year agreement between Dubai Airports and Salik to modernise parking operations and improve the overall passenger experience. The system uses automatic vehicle recognition technology to record entry and exit times, eliminating the need for cash payments or card transactions at kiosks.

Officials say the move will help reduce queues at parking exits and improve traffic flow around airport terminals, especially during busy travel periods. With many drivers in the UAE already using Salik accounts for road toll payments, the new system is expected to speed up airport parking and make it more convenient.

The upgrade also supports Dubai’s overall smart mobility and digital infrastructure strategy, which seeks to integrate automated payment technologies across transportation networks and public services.

Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest international airports in the world, and officials are of the view that the ticketless parking system will not only make the system more efficient but also provide a smoother service for the millions of passengers and visitors that use the airport each year.
